*SALE*

So, I lowered the prices on my bags. I don't think people want to spend so much on cute bags, especially when we're all trying to save these days. =) Visit my etsy shop and take a look!!! Little Gamine

If any of you are Grey's Anatomy fans...how great was the season finale?!?!

I must get back to sewing. My new job is finally coming along and hopefully I'll be in my office by next week!

Hope you're all doing well and the universe is giving you all your hearts desires =)

Avant-Garde

Good afternoon everyone!
I'm in quite a wonderful mood!
I spent this morning watching Coco Before Chanel and was completely inspired! Not because of the wonderful and GORGEOUS clothing, but because of Chanel, the woman herself. The movie, after all, is about Coco before, and how she came to be "Chanel", the famous name.
It made me think about all the women out there that have inspired me in their own ways.

Coco Chanel (of course)
The woman who changed fashion, just by being herself. Growing up in an orphanage, not having a dime to her name in a time when your wealthy status decided your future, refusing to marry for anything but love, and losing the love of your life too soon. She stayed true to who she was, stood by her convictions and changed the world by staying simple, honest, and real.
I find it funny when I see a lot of these celebrity women wearing Chanel like it was Juicy Couture. I think to myself, these women do not have enough class to don a Chanel outfit! It's almost an insult to the clothing!

Audrey Hepburn

There really isn't anyone in the world that I adore more than Audrey Hepburn, other than my mum. :)
She was the epitome of perfection. Kind, giving, caring, lovely, talented, beautiful, as well as classic and chic.
She was everything. Not a single negative remark was ever quoted against Audrey. She was literally loved by all and she very well deserved it. Not a scandal, tantrum or gossip was written about her. She was simply and completely fabulous!

Louise Brooks

Goodness, this woman was a rebel! She was a vamp...fiesty, fierce and strong.
I remember seeing Diary of a Lost Girl and Pandora's Box for the first time and literally tripping over myself over how amazing she was!  She was GORGEOUS! Her acting was fantastic, every facial expression, every dance and movement she made. The smirk on her face when she was being cheeky or manipulative to a man on screen. It was fabulous! She knew just how to give it. In real life, she was just as fierce. She never gave in to the Hollywood celebrity life and even choose to abandon her career. She was even shunned from Hollywood after leaving and refusing to re-shoot her movie scenes when the talkies came in.
She stayed true to herself, never giving in to anyone or anything. The woman was a force to be reckoned with.

I think we have a little Coco, Audrey and Lulu in us all! ;)
I can think of so many more, but this post will never end. I must get back to work
I wish you a wonderful day!

......

I'm a very sad little panda. My heart is broken and I honestly don't have anything to say.
I've always been a true believer in romance, true love, "meant-to-be's", soul mates, fate, love stories where people are married for 60 years, love stories where people are separated for years and then find each other again and the love is still there.
But, this is something that has shook me to my core, it's made me question my beliefs and question myself. I'm lost and I'm hurt.

I tried sewing one bag today and I couldn't figure out what patterns and colors to put together, that's never happened to me before. I can't think! So, I put away my fabric and threw on Billie Holiday. I'm sure she and I share the same soul....

Goodbye My Lover...

I don't like to drown in my own sorrow, but my current situation seems unbearable at the moment and I can't stop listening to this song....

Did I disappoint you or let you down?
Should I be feeling guilty or let the judges frown?
'Cause I saw the end before we'd begun,
Yes I saw you were blinded and I knew I had won.
So I took what's mine by eternal right.
Took your soul out into the night.
It may be over but it won't stop there,
I am here for you if you'd only care.
You touched my heart you touched my soul.
You changed my life and all my goals.
And love is blind and that I knew when,
My heart was blinded by you.
I've kissed your lips and held your hand.
Shared your dreams and shared your bed.
I know you well, I know your smell.
I've been addicted to you.

Goodbye my lover.

Goodbye my friend.
You have been the one.
You have been the one for me.

I am a dreamer and when i wake,

You can't break my spirit - it's my dreams you take.
And as you move on, remember me,
Remember us and all we used to be
I've seen you cry, I've seen you smile.
I've watched you sleeping for a while.
I'd be the father of your child.
I'd spend a lifetime with you.
I know your fears and you know mine.
We've had our doubts but now we're fine,
And I love you, I swear that's true.
I cannot live without you.

Goodbye my lover.

Goodbye my friend.
You have been the one.
You have been the one for me.

And I still hold your hand in mine.

In mine when I'm asleep.
And I will bare my soul in time,
When I'm kneeling at your feet.
Goodbye my lover.
Goodbye my friend.
You have been the one.
You have been the one for me.

I'm so hollow, baby, I'm so hollow.

I'm so, I'm so, I'm so hollow.
I'm so hollow, baby, I'm so hollow.
I'm so, I'm so, I'm so hollow.

Monday, Monday, Monday

I hope all you mamas had a wonderful Mothers Day!! I, unfortunately, had to work. But I did see my momma, and I see her ALL THE TIME, so it's wasn't a total loss.
So, I'm in the midst of a new job, a bad break up, apartment hunting, and another hair color. But I have been keeping my idle mind busy with projects and crafts. My mood can be better, but at least I'm not on the edge of a bridge. ;)

I'm on the hunt for mannequins, both full body and heads, so I logged on over at etsy and found these beautiful vintage heads!!! I would LOVE to have each one on display at my new (coming soon) apartment! *sigh*

*LOVES*

I also have a bit of an obsession with vintage wired mannequins....a have a few in my room:

and even one on my forearm:

<3

I must get to work now, I have four projects due by the end of the day....

Have a wonderful Monday!

Chanel!!

Ah, why aren't I in Paris right now with a gorgeous man adoring me everywhere I go?

I love this Chanel film by Jean-Pierre Jeunet with Audrey Tautou and Travis Davenport

Speaking of Audrey Tautou (a favorite little gamine), I found this photo of her in complete Louise Brooks mode:

 Fabulous!!!
