Lazy Days

I'm off today and all I really want to do is sleep. I'm a total feline, I can sleep anywhere, any place, any time of day, all day!

But, I can't. So, trying to feel like I've done something productive today, I cleaned my room. Yeah, I feel very accomplished now. =)

My room is a very deep green color, (green is my favorite color) and I have little girly accents that make me feel pretty...

I'm now back in bed watching "Say Yes to the Dress"...(I'm an emotional cutter)

Owl Love!

I LOVE owls!! So much that I had one tattooed on my back...(it's not finished yet) I named him Bubo =)

I've been online doing a little shopping and found so many adorable owls that people have made; paintings, stuffed animals, pillows, necklaces...I'm having a total field day!

I'm totally inspired to make my own owl bag now!!

Just Breathe

Good afternoon! (Or morning/evening, wherever you are in the world) =)

I'm not feeling very inspired today. I started working on a new bag but couldn't muster up the drive to finish it. It's gloomy outside, I have to work late tonight, and I fell asleep around 4am because I was catching up on my Grey's Anatomy episodes. Seriously.

Anyway, I've been killing some time listening to one of my favorite bands, Telepopmusik. The music is so chill and relaxing, you can't help but go into total zen mode while listening to them. You might have heard this song in a car commercial awhile back.

Just listen, sit back and relax....and Breathe!

If you enjoyed this, another favorite song mine is their INTO EVERYTHING....

LOVES IT!!!

Sew Sew Sew

Happy Monday!
I know, not exactly the most exciting day of the week. = (
I've been busy sewing bags and trying to get my projects done. Fortunetly, I was feeling very productive today, which is something I haven't been feeling for the past month or so. I got a lot done, even got my butt on the treadmill! Feeling accomplished by the afternoon, I picked up my camera and took a few photos of a couple of bags I've finally finished....

AH-Mazing!

Christian Van Vuuren was diagnosed with TB and has spent the last 55 days quarantined to a single hospital room. Instead of feeling sorry for himself, he made this amazing rap video...

"One day you wake up and you realize that your life should be...different."

I have so much going on, good things, and it's very exciting.
There are two things that I'm quite excited about that I would love to share...

First, the Eat Pray Love trailer has just been released. If you haven't read the book, it's about a woman who one day realizes that her life isn't what she really wants. She literally drops everything and spends a year in a search for a new life in Italy, India and Indonesia.
The book spoke to me in the most amazing ways and hit very close to home. After I finished it, I bought copies to give to the women in my family! When I heard they were making a movie, I wasn't so sure what to think about it. Some of my most favorite books have been butchered by Hollywood, but after seeing the trailer, I'm definitely looking forward to it. If you plan to see the movie, PLEASE read the book first. It's an amazing read!!

Also, the Playboy Jazz Festival is coming up and it always promises a great time. I missed last years, Esperanza Spalding and Sharon Jones and the Dapp Kings performed on the same night. I was crushed.
But I just found out Esperanza Spalding will be attending again this year and I can finally see her live!
If you're not familiar with Esperanza Spalding, she is a young bassist from Portland, Oregon. The girl is a total prodigy and has so much soul for someone so young. Her music is a fusion of jazz, blues, funk, hip-hop, Brazilian and Afro-Cuban.

I cannot recommend her enough!
